About Us
Our network aims to become a premier site for academics working in English, Scottish and Welsh universities on Irish/Northern Irish contemporary history and politics to share their latest research and ideas with politicians, former combatants, victims/survivors alongside the public.
The research of our members cover a variety of different themes in Irish/Northern Irish politics and contemporary history including Irish Republicanism, Unionism, the European Union and the island of Ireland, the Alliance Party and dealing with conflict legacy.

The network is the idea and creation of academics based in Bath, Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter universities working on Irish/Northern Irish contemporary history and politics.
New Members Welcome
​We welcome new members and provide the opportunity to share ideas and media expertise with fellow academics, practitioners and the general public. We offer the opportunity to receive feedback on research via our seminar discussions, present your research to a public audience and practitioners. ​
